What we collect

When you complete an enquiry or free survey form we collect the details you give us: your name, email address, telephone number, the property address or postcode the enquiry relates to, and any message, consumption figures or electricity bills you choose to send. If you call or email us we keep a record of that correspondence.

We may also collect limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you viewed, in order to keep the site secure and understand how it is used.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

We use your details to respond to your enquiry, arrange and carry out a free survey, prepare and send a quotation, deliver and certify any work you go ahead with, register installations with the relevant certification bodies, and handle guarantee, servicing and warranty matters afterwards.

Our lawful bases are: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and performance of a contract where you proceed with work; legitimate interests in operating and improving our business and keeping proper records; and legal obligation where certification, health and safety or accounting rules require it.

Who we share it with

We share information only where it is necessary: with certification and registration bodies where an installation must be registered, with our guarantee provider where an insurance-backed guarantee is issued, with the electricity network operator or your supplier where an application or notification is required, and with the IT and customer relationship providers that host our website, email and enquiry records. We do not sell your personal information or share it for third party marketing.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept only as long as they remain useful for following up, and are then deleted. Where work is carried out, we keep installation, certification, guarantee and accounting records for as long as the guarantees and warranties run and as long as tax and legal requirements demand.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to ask us to delete information where we no longer need it, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to ask for your information in a portable format.
