    Using your consumption data, full address and postcode, we design a system sized to your usage and produce a written quotation, typically returned within 1–2 working days.

    Specification and agreement

    We confirm panel, inverter and, where relevant, battery specification, along with warranty terms, timescales and funding route, before any work is scheduled.

  4. 04

    Installation

    Our in-house team installs the mounting system, panels, cabling and inverter, and connects the system to your consumer unit, working to MCS and NAPIT standards throughout.

  5. 05

    Commissioning and handover

    We test and commission the system, register it with your network operator and MCS, and hand over full documentation including your workmanship guarantee and manufacturer warranties.

Materials and equipment

We specify Tier 1 solar panels, inverters and batteries, selected to suit your roof space, budget and performance requirements. Mounting systems are chosen to match your roof type, whether pitched tile, slate, flat felt or membrane, or a ground-mounted frame for larger sites. Cabling, isolators and protective devices are specified to current wiring regulations and MCS installation standards.

Installation methods

Pitched roofs typically use an in-roof or on-roof mounting rail system fixed into the rafters, with panels clamped to the rails and cabled back to a roof-mounted or wall-mounted inverter. Flat roofs generally use a ballasted or mechanically fixed tilted frame to achieve the correct panel angle. Ground-mounted systems use driven or concrete-based foundations depending on ground conditions, assessed during the site survey.

System variations

Systems can be specified with string inverters or panel-level optimisers depending on shading and roof complexity, and can be designed with or without battery storage from the outset. Hybrid inverters allow battery storage to be added at the point of installation or retrofitted later. Larger commercial systems may use multiple inverters or a central inverter arrangement depending on array size and layout.

Commercial and public sector installations involve larger arrays, more complex electrical integration, and funding structured through commercial finance, PPA or CAPEX rather than a domestic finance product, which we do not currently offer.
